Craft Artists
A member of the Jiangsu Ceramic Art Professional Committee was born in 1968 on Shushan South Street in Yixing. In 1986, he entered the Yixing Purple Sand Craft Factory in Jiangsu Province. Studying traditional handicraft pottery techniques under the guidance of advanced craft artist Jiang Jianjun (Le Tao) has laid a solid foundation for the future path of purple clay art. The path of ceramic art from art has benefited from the artistic influence of masters Xu Hantang and Xu Xiutang's pottery making skills and conceptual concepts. They have gained a unique understanding and expression of the creation of purple clay pottery, and the combination of theory and practice has been integrated in the creation, improving the level of artistic cultivation. I have boldly conceived and envisioned my creations, and have designed a series of new works with personal style. The produced works are exquisitely washed, dignified and beautiful. The work has won multiple awards in the national ceramic art competition and has been collected by multiple museums in China. At the same time of creative practice, I also conducted systematic research on the theory of purple clay craftsmanship. I wrote a paper and published it in Chinese ceramic journals, and my work was listed in Chinese local handicraft journals.
