Gold Award Winner at the 11th China (National) Arts and Crafts Masters' Fine Works Exposition in November 2009
The distinguishing feature of the "Dragons Roaming the World Teapot" lies primarily in the adaptation of dragon forms inspired by jade carvings to suit the needs of the teapot design. The legs and tail of the dragon have been simplified, drawing inspiration from the minimalist dragon design of the Hongshan Culture. The Hongshan Culture dragon is characterized by its extreme simplicity, omitting the legs and forming the entire dragon body into a C-shape, with the head simplified into a curved hook and adorned with a single horn atop its head. The handle of the "Dragons Roaming the World Teapot" is connected to the body of the pot through one of the dragon's legs and its tail. The dragon's body is designed in an S-shape, a beautifully graceful curve. The dragon's head is slightly thicker, tapering to a finer tail, with its mouth slightly open and its eyes, nose, and horn meticulously sculpted in a minimalist style. A similar simplistic dragon relief is also crafted beneath the spout of the teapot.
