"Auspiciousness of Dragon and Phoenix" comes from Kong Congzi's Ji Wen:
"When the emperor spreads virtue and brings peace, the unicorn, phoenix, turtle, and dragon will first present auspiciousness."
From the chineses traditional symbolic meaning, the dragon is associated with water, flying, connecting heaven and earth, being mutable, mysterious, bringing good fortune, portending disasters, and demonstrating power.
The phoenix is associated with fire, facing the sun, possessing virtue, bringing good omen, being noble, pure, beautiful, and expressing emotions.
The complementary and corresponding divine attributes bring the dragon and phoenix together: one is the king of all beasts, and the other is the queen of all birds; one is mutable, flying, and mysterious, while the other is elegant, beautiful, and auspicious; together they bring a harmonious atmosphere!
